Computer wApple may have manipulated images in Samsung caseorld’s sister site in Dutch land Webwereld.nl notes that the Galaxy S was resized to match iPhone 3G.

According to sources, Apple is planning to hire Photoshop experts along with legal counsels for its ensuing legal battle with Samsung Electronics.

Webwereld.nl, which is the Dutch site of Computerworld states that Apple is supposedly using the picture of Samsung Galaxy S smart phone. The picture is resized to show users the image resembling the iPhone 3G. This is following Samsung’s claim that the company used revamped pictures of the Galaxy Tab to appear like the iPad.

These supposedly modified photos, which were provided in the court as evidence will possibly be troublesome for Apple. According to Apple, Samsung devices are cheap replicas of their popular products. Nonetheless, the company’s need to modify Samsung product pictures questions the similarity.

Samsung filed pictures of Galaxy S in a district court in The Hague. However, Apple was not immediately available to respond to CNET. Moreover, Samsung was also not available for any comments.

The two phones differ in their sizes; Galaxy S dimensions are 122.4x64.2 mm and the iPhone 3G dimensions are 115.5x62.1mm.

From the numerous patent fights being fought all over the world, this dispute between the two companies is emerging as one of the most vicious and bitter battles.

Apple is battling Samsung alleging that the latter has copied Apple’s user interface and designs of its mobile devices. These particularly include the Galaxy smart phones and the Galaxy Tab, which is the Android tablet released by Samsung. Both the companies have amicably agreed to shortly stop selling Galaxy Tab in Australia; however, Apple is being aggressive in prohibiting the product in European markets.

Both the companies have filed different cases in Germany. A recent ruling in Germany for a short period prohibited Samsung from selling Galaxy Tab in the EU. However, this prohibition became ineffective when it was found that the German court did not have any jurisdiction outside the country.

Samsung has seen recent success in the sale of their smart phones. Although, the company has been a late entrant in the Android technology, the Samsung Galaxy S has made up for its late entry in to the market. The company reported shipping five million numbers of the sequel Galaxy S II phones during the first eighty-five days. During the next few months, it is expected to witness the launch of the Galaxy II variants in the United States.
