Though Amazon.com is the global biggest online retailer, but it seems that doesn't wish to face the anger of people. The matter is that the online retailer was harshly criticized for the product it sold.

The e-book was released on Amazon for Kindle e-reader under the title The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct.

While the information about this book spread, the seller did not want to refuse from sales. The representative of the company assured that Amazon.com does not support illegal acts but lets the customers make the decisions on their own.

Infuriated customers began to call people to arrange boycott with the aim to put the book away from the gallery of products. Two pages in Facebook were created dedicated to the problem.

The page quickly became popular and 10,700 Facebook users visited it. The other page had 4.5 thousand followers.

The same was discussed in Twitter and rumors started spreading in the Internet with a quick speed.

The force of social pressure made Amazon to retreat and put away the book from the virtual shelf. The technologies and means web gives nowadays makes social media an influential power and this is referred to social networking first of all.
