17-year-old American of Chinese origin Fei Lam, a student of a high school became famous all over the world for being clever enough to earn on customization of black iPhone 4, making the devices white.

The teenager succeeded to earn $130,000 in the course of a half a year, buying white parts for the device and making changes for the customers. The boy was featured for several American companies and his business flourished thanks to them. He was going to pay for tuition but piece of bad news came with the letter from a private investigator who asserts that the parts for customization used by the teenager were stolen from the Chinese plant Foxconn.

The responsibilities of the plant included assemble of iPhone 4 for Apple.  Fei Lam really obtained the parts from this company, having established business relationship with the company when the iPhone 4 was released. The boy asserts that the parts used by him were not stolen.

Some consider that he did not have right to make changed to the device until the official release of its white version. White iPhones auctions on e-Bay were closed for this reason.

Nevertheless, the teenager is not frightened at all and is going to continue his work. The legal threat is not a problem for him as he has enough funds to pay for the lawyer’s assistance.
