Nokia launches low-end smart phones

After Nokia's annnokia-logoouncement that it will be focusing on the Nokia Windows phone, it now launches low-end phones that are able to use the Windows operating systems.

It can be recalled that the problem with smart phones before was it should come in high-end phones because Windows operating system will not run in low memory phones. Today, Nokia said that Microsoft was able to lessen the system requirement thus, the advent of low-end smart phones.

Nokia launches three phones having a handful of services at lower prices. Low-end Lumia phone series were designed to capture new markets. Moreover, they launched a phone with a model name, Symbian that can capture photos in 38 megapixels. However, the launching was focused on the Lumia phones that can run Windows operating system in lower memory and of course come in lower prices. The Lumia 610 is the cheapest of the Lumia phones with a retail price of $254. This is also the fourth of the series. This model will be available in the market during the second quarter of the year.

Further, Nokia was able to reach China market by having met the network and language requirements. In a few months, the said Lumia phones will be available in China markets. Nokia further announced that they were able to meet various needs at various price requirements. Having a smart phone nowadays can be as cheap as it can be. Nokia indeed succeeded in its plan to focus its manufacturing business in phones ran by Microsoft operating system.

 

On the other hand, Nokia also launched its new updates in software and services of Lumia Phones. The new application called Nokia Transport will be available in the said phones. This application offers door-to-door directions in public transportations. It also announced that the Lumia phones is having the application called, Nokia Reading that is aimed at consolidating news, audio books and e-books in one application. Moreover, the company also announced its plan to launch a high-end phone with a model name, Lumia 900 that is suitable in Europe where there are no LTE networks yet.

Further, Nokia has developed an imaging technology that can be embedded in smartphones. This technology is called Nokia 808 Pure View. The company will be launching this technology on a Symbian phone first. This is the technology used in the aforementioned Symbian phone that can take up to 38-megapixel photos. Also, it has the capacity to zoom a picture to see the small detail and can still stay non-pixelated. In their future launching, this technology will be seen in smart phones.
