According to the statGoogle asks governmentement of a Google executive, most government agencies are longing to gain from higher speed Internet connectivity.

In addition, he mentioned that these agencies should be willing to modify the regulations to assist companies trying to make this possibility a reality. Kevin Lo was heard mentioning that often regulations create a hindrance in the progress of innovation. Lo is the general manager of access oversees, which is the company’s Fiber project that is trying to bring high speed Internet connection to Kansas and Missouri. During a talk at the Broadband World Forum in Kansas city, Lo said that regulations associated with physical infra often result in complete deferment of the investments.

The rift between private goals and public refraining has been around for many centuries. However, Google that is an Internet juggernaut and is trying to move at fast pace feels the brunt more acutely. The company is necessitated to curtail its plans due to lower access speeds or missing speed.

According to Lo, the company is moving forward with the Web. According to the company officials, the product managers are becoming frustrated because applications are available but do not work due to limited connectivity.

Lo has asked the government for three modifications, which include easy accessibility to public routes to lay down fiber optical cabling, simplified accessibility to the utilities poles, and enabling the special service locations for releasing parts of municipalities from zonal limitations. He added that the Kansas City’s business proactive attitude was a key factor for the company’s selection for its Fiber project. He mentioned that the officials had proven that they could match the company’s speeds.

The company has commenced the project of creating free superior speed networks. These networks are expected to provide one GB per second speeds for downloading and uploading information. The speeds are available through fiber optical lines provided to the homes. According to Lo, the company believes that the uplink capabilities are the primary factors that will affect the modification. He mentioned that by the first half of 2012, Google will be able to provide its services to customers.

The present Internet connectivity provides higher speeds for downloading information in comparison to uploading information. This benefits users in specific applications, such as watching streamed videos on the Internet. However, this creates a hindrance while users are trying to upload pictures or conduct conferences using video conferencing facilities.

Although, the initial project commenced in Kansas City, it has now expanded to the Missouri region within a short duration. Although, Lo denied providing specific details on the number of users who will be serviced, he mentioned that the design is adequate for all the residents.

A large portion of the audience was Internet Service Providers who were interested because of the company policy to provide free services within their business. Although, they tried to procure the financial information about the project, they remained unsuccessful in their endeavors. Lo was unwilling to provide any information related to the total cost of providing the connectivity to every house and the time that would be required to make a return.

However, he did mention that the company would earn revenues in some form and was capable of affording huge infrastructure investments.
