The Interactive Augmented Reality from Apple - a Breakthrough in the Modern Technology
Saturday, 20 August 2011 16:17

If you are travelling to a place you don’t know, it would be great if you have someone to direct you, and tell you where to go, rather than checking through your phone and finding out the directions yourself.

Well aware of this fact, the Apple has come up with some patent applications so as to let one ogle the environment he is in and tell you where to go and what you see. One app used by Apple is the method by which the Augmented Reality (AR) information and the real time video are combined, allowing the user to interact, ask questions and get answers from the images on the screen. So if you want to go somewhere, just touch that place on your iPhone, and it guides you there.

One can also shoot a video, whether of a city skyline or the place you are in. The next patent application given by Apple is for a device which has an LCD display. It can create a transparent window, and here the opacity of screen’s pixels is varied by changing the voltage that drives them. This display can overlay the information of what is seen through the window.

For example, if you are looking at the picture of Mona Lisa, you can see her as well as read her mysterious grin. Here the fact is that these are still patents waiting to be approved and we cannot expect any such AR device to come up in some time, it is still a dream waiting to come true.
