Intel likely to announce surprising prices of ultrabooks

Presently the UltraIntel ultrabooksbooks of Intel are being sold for $800. These laptops are heart favourite of so many users with its light weight and slim look. The more exciting news is that Intel has decided to bring down the prices of this cute laptop to $699.

These new prices are expected to come into force by the time the much awaited back to school shopping starts. It is also reported that by this time some new models are also expected to hit markets with features such as touchscreens. Some other hybrid models which can work both as a tablet and as a laptop are also expected to become available in markets.

Kirk Skaugen, of Intel also confirmed that third generation Ultrabooks are being developed. He told that these 75 Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks are scheduled to reach markets soon. The concept of light weight Ultrabooks was conceived by Intel about a year ago. They are planning to invest $300 million in Ultrabook technology.

They are also planning to kick start a marketing campaign in the form of advertisements. The company is also planning to establish retail outlets in the name of “Ultrabook experience zones”.  With this the company will be able to attract more customers by making them realize the difference of experience between a conventional laptop and an Ultrabook.
