MarketsandMarkets came up with the result of the research that predicts even bigger growth of mobile apps market throughout the world. It will boost to nearly 25 million dollars of revenue every year. The reason for it is the fact that bigger amount of people acquire smartphones. Besides, 4G is going to be widespread.

For instance, applications earned $6.8 billion last year.

It is said in the report about great influence of iPhone App Store on the apps market. If the number of downloads was 450 million globally in 2007, in 2008 their number has considerably increased to the 1.1 billion downloads after App Store opened in summer of 2008, making $1.49 billion this way. The next year happened to be breakthrough and their number reached 6.44 billion with annual revenue $4.51 billion correspondingly. The App Store has been successful since its launch.
