Acer consitablet-platformsders that tablets will finally replace netbooks. The company is going to pack Sandy Bridge processors made by Intel into tablets in order to get bigger marketshare.

Acer was one of the first which satisfied the demands of the customers to have cheap portable computer devices when it started massive production of netbooks. Its Aspire One netbooks were able to cope with main Internet tasks. But it seems that the time of tablets has come and now the company is working in this direction. High powered tablets will come to replace the netbooks and Android tablets will be also produced with Intel’s latest processors Sandy Bridge.

In the opinion of Lu Bing-hsian, who works as a sales manager in Taiwan Acer, the tablets will slowly come to the place of netbooks. Android tablets will have 7’’ and 10’’ displays and in the middle of the 2011 will be brought out already.

It seems that the technology industry decided to turn this year into the year of tablets. It all started last year when iPad was launched and had great success. Now Apple Inc. is dominating on the market of tablets.

Nevertheless the competition is going to be severe. Samsung also had a good start with its Galaxy tab based on Android platform. Besides, CES show, which took place in Las Vegas, was so to say tablet-centric. It is worth considering 25 tablet devices from the show.
